I have a Sony 46 “, but have been dying XBR3 upgrate least one ‘60. So when I see two Samsung 65 “ERS 2010 in their line up (6500 and not yet published-in-this time-8500), I knew I should get one of them now.” br />
First some warnings on my purchase decision:
1. I will not buy a Samsung or Sony LCD LED – is something personal. No regular flatscreen / projector. So there is that many choices
2. Ideally, I bought a local-dimming LED LCD, because it has the best contrast / black level. But it is not available for 60 + and I do not see the horizon over the next 18 months.
3. I hang the TV on the wall and use your TV to display only. So all the other bells and whistles to the sound – I do not want to review here
4. while 3D can be cool, I think the most-hyped and not worth another $ 500-1K for 8500. I also need a TV now, if this is 6500!
5. This purchase is an upgrade “to my 46″ Sony XBR3, who was a decent model top 3-4 years ago. I also bought a Samsung 46 “LCD b650 year last, so some of my remarks will inevitably be compared to these televisions.
Advantages:

Disadvantages:
