  1. OK, got my S570 and tested what I could. This is not a professional review, I am not a professional.

    Unpacking and installation: half

The box is very small, as large as the 460-box. The player is also much smaller than the 460 Installation was simple, because I almost removed my 460 and replaced with the 570 I need no wires, just hooket to my Ethernet switch and a fixed IP address, as I do on all the devices I have.
The eject button on the player is almost impossible to find. Replace the remote control.

The activation of both Netflix and Amazon can be a real pain, and I had to re-record them.

I have the following default settings:
    . Audio Mix is
    OFF. Gracenote to
AUTO. Network settings to manual IP address.
    . SACD DSD
. IP Noise reduction to zero

When I turned on the player, a firmware upgrade has arrived and now the 315 version

    -BLURAY Movies DVD QUALITY ‘

Nothing new here. Blu-ray is great, as is, with all other DVD players and the right to boast, nothing but decent. Professional reviews will give more information about Cadence and other things I spend my time calibration films are not hard drives.
The only thing new is the Gracenote that some information not on the title, but pause the playback and return the movie to start position. -AMAZON/NETFLIX

If you know the 460 is the interface the same (very simple), but with an interesting difference on page sound. With the 460 I DD 5 1 from Amazon and only get audio from Netflix, if the HDMI audio to PCM. With the 570, all streaming is set to PCM, even when the HDMI audio is set to AUTO. I think it’s a bug with the 460, which occurs only a few receivers (no sound, unless terminated PCM), which is now linked to 570 I know a bit ‘of confusion.
This is a video noise reduction of IP, which defaults to 2 I have set to zero, because I hate any kind of NO. Smooth images in most cases.
The picture quality is good with Amazon and so so with Netflix, but nothing that can be attributed to the reader. BTW, my internet connection good, 18 Mbit / s fixed.
Gracenote does not work with Netflix or Amazon, but you do not need it.

    -OTHER WEB SERVICES

There are 1 or 2 services on the 460, and only a few “coming soon”. The most important is the Qriosity, from Sony, which promises to rival Netflix / Amazon. There is a symbol as a placeholder Qriosity axis menu. More here: [. . . ].

DLNA is not. Upgrading the firmware? Shame on you Sony. Sony’s website is updated and is a note about the upgrade, but it was not there when I bought the player.

    Drive USB support files.

The test of a pen on a handful of file formats. The result:

. M2TS both movies from my Canon camcorder and Hauppauge PVR-HD picture quality played perfectly. Great!
    . MPG smoothly, as expected.
    . WMV gone smoothly.
. MKV video included) to play with Makemkv not at all (talk about bad file. The recorded video with the handbrake, but played with a lot of pixelation.
. M4V Same as above. Also created from handbrake.
. ISO not recognized at all. It does not appear in the playlist.
    . MOV Same as above.
. AVI Same as above. < br />
I think the only good news so far is the perfect reproduction of the M2TS file 2.

    -SACD

This is the grand finale: “Absolutely fantastic. can take my Pioneer 94 DSD directly (without conversion PCM) and the sound is great. I have the receiver” Pure Direct “and the sound was warm as a pipe, man. Obviously, the receiver plays an important role, but the 570 has everything you might expect.

    My Setup:

    . P65V10
    Panasonic.
    Pioneer 64 receiver.
Sony BDP-S570 player. U-Verse 18 Mbps Internet Service < , br />. All connections via HDMI.

I hope I have given some highlights of a set of 570 is far superior and a bargain, that they can do. We hope that ‘update DLNA is coming and it works as expected.

  2. First of all a bit ‘of background information. I bought a Sony BDP-S300 (one of the first Sony BD player), three years ago with my home theater-theater setup. It ‘always been a great player, just a basic machine without the bells and whistles. Not many advanced features, but has always had an excellent image quality, and played everything that might put it.

In any case, the middle of 2009 I started looking for a new car to replace the BD-S300 aging. The S300 has a great picture quality, no doubt, but it is always annoying to play with long waiting times for loading times, sometimes up to five minutes to start a Java-enabled Blu-ray Disc (cold switching) the main menu of the CD. As part of the test “new machines, I tried a Samsung BD-P1600 and Sony BDP-N460, both of which were returned to the store for one reason or another.

Now my good friends, it seems as though my long wait is a replacement for the S300 as well. I bought a Sony BDP-S570 on March 4, 2010, and could not be happier with the results.

Now, let me say, I am pleased with the quality players to play solo. I’m not interested to connect the computer to the Internet – was put out, some of you. I am concerned only with time loading, waiting time, the image quality, sound quality. All the rest is for me an open question, because I see my TV directly to my Windows XP Media Center PC for things like Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc. So this review and comments in relation to the reproduction of video discs on these different machines.

After removing the BDP-S570 from the box, and connects to your TV via HDMI, I loaded the first “test drive” the 2009 heavy Java Paramount Blu-ray release of “JJ Abrams’ Star Trek.” The faster disk you can say “Klingon.” I was very impressed when the pop-up menu on the remote control automatically forced to slice through the four trailers skip (the game automatically starts when most of the time). This is the first machine that beats behind the trailer, as in a single blow could. (Previously, you had to use the fast forward to every trailer is a forward at a time, too.)

As many of you know, the “Star Trek” BD BD is one of the best preserved of 2009 regarding the quality of images. Now, let me say that the PQ seems to have stopped this player and my TV. The only problem I found was a dip in the short video output / processing skipped when a herky-jerky, and something happens during a second brief climactic battle space at the end of the film. I shot the film and played again, and the second time, no problems.

Columbia was the second test disc BD 2007 release of “Spider-Man 2″ (from the trilogy box). This disc is loaded quickly and played perfectly perfect PQ and video output. No complaints here at all.

disc final test was the 2006 Disney Platinum Edition DVD release of “The Little Mermaid.” This is a disc loaded very quickly and the picture quality was superb throughout. No jagged edges at all, as you would see on a different machine when playing BD DVD standard. Superb car upscaling to 1080p. 480th disk native

Some specific features that struck me about this player: The remote has an Open / Close button on what is lacking on the old Sony BD remote controls (especially The N460 has been). This player is the easiest set-up car (by far one of the many new players) I connected my TV out of the box. Finally, you can turn off the light and numerical (counter), display on the front of the machine, so it’s quite dark when turned on. This is a useful feature if, like me, all these lights especially like when playing a movie in a dark room. < , / br>
I would also like the small size of the players. The S300 is a giant in comparison. This player has not happened in any component in my closet (actually so small, I can not get my Wii like me) with my old player.

is all in all a great +++++ A machine from Sony. Here, the player, who were waiting for me is. This technology has reached the height, so that this player is really coming at their expense. In this 3D-capable player with the firmware next scheduled this summer. so I will be ready to see if the avatar in 3D-BD is released. celebration in all.
