Considering the low price, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this DVD.
I bought this based on observations. I have a large collection of Region 2, 3, 4 and 6 films and TV series. My old player has shown some problems. Upon receipt, I unpacked and put in place. Exploded on a R1, hit play, no problem. Great audio and video.
Then I put in a brand new R3. It looked like a grinder, loading and 30 seconds later, the menu came on. I played and I had a very soft and the sound is half the level of my old drive. I tried the DVR later. United States has seen, played perfect. PAL disc took 3 minutes to upload the image and played with soft, low noise and a jerky image. Again, they played perfectly on my old drive. Finally, today I tried a favorite films Germany.
